Hi everyone...Long time no see...

I've been working for the past week in getting a good FULL transcription of this amazingly complex song, Ataraxia. I did my best to cover everything, including the solo. It must be at least 90% accurate. Now, let's try get to get it right...:P. I'll upload some audio of this sheet midi played with Metal Foundry, to see how it sounds. I did my best to make it clear as possible as I'm not used to writing such complex stuff. Inspired by Virgil's great book, Ultimate Play-Along.

PS: Has anyone developed freedom to solo over this feet ostinato? Any advices?

Wow, thanks for all the work you put in that. I'm not through the complete transcription yet but I'm quite sure that the whole 7/8 section is supposed to be 7/16 (so the backbeat is on beat one every second bar) which would only have an effect on phrasing. If you want to develop independence over this ostinato the Thomas Lang Matrix seems always to be good starting point. Once again: great work!

Yes, it's a possibility. I got used to feel it in 7/8, but of course 7/16 is a more clean way to understand and phrase this paradiddle like ostinato, longer though.
