It's really not about the music being simple or difficult. For me it's more about the journey... Even though he liked it, I think vdreignsuponus1 described it best when he wrote: "It began,and it ended." That's exactly right. It was that middle section that just sort of left me hanging in nowhere land.

You can't please everyone and I would encourage you to never try to. Take whatever critique and advice you deem fit and toss what's left to the wind.

Do your thing, man... Because you do what you do quite well.

Akin, I really loved it, brilliant playing, as usual, very tasteful.

And although I agree with Don, I enjoyed it thorough. I think D.Slam's argument can be explained by saying that we always strive to look for regularity, pattern which we can follow. Due to the same fact I never really enjoyed listening to a lot of jazz or very arty and technical fusion. Listening to a 7-minute long solo of the drums or guitar can be pretty exhausting mentally.

Nevertheless, I think your playing can stand as an example to many and we're all very happy to have you here on the forum. Keep it up!
