im sure someone has posted a thread like this on here b4, but i just kinda felt like starting a "name ur favorite drummers" thread. so, go ahead guys, blow me away!

Pete Drummond Virgil Donati Thomas Lang Vinnie Colaiuta Mike Mangini Steve Gadd Dave Weckl Joe Morello Buddy Rich Dennis Chambers David Jones Gordon Rytmeister Tony Williams Chad Wackerman Chad Smith (for when I first started playing, if it were not for him, I wouldnt be playing drums at all really!) Anton Fig (I stay up until Dave Letterman is on which is at like 12:30am, just so I can see him play, great band, and great drummer!) Matt Cameron It really just goes on and on from there!

Favorite Drummers
Besides all the names mentioned,one drummer I never hear anyone mention,and I feel is a great player and well worth checking out is Rodney Holmes.

In no special order.
Donati Jimmy Chamberlin Matt Cameron Bill Bruford Sami Kuoppamäki (a fantastic Finnish drummer) These are the ones that have influenced me the most, maybe... but there are a million more whom I could and should name.. Bonham Michael Giles Vinnie Colaiuta Pat Mastelotto (Pats playing and combination of electronics and acoustic drums is just genious with the current line-up of King Crimson! Check "The Power to Believe" and "Eyes Wide Open"-DVD.) Cheers.. |
