I knew Jack Jones the singer/guitarist so we used to record whatever we could that he did. Either handy cam or from the TV. And Virgil was a major bonus.

I have more Southern Sons and Hans Valen rarities. And Gnomes of Zurich on audio. I regretfully had the audio of the Raw gig that Steve Smith played 3 songs on Virgil's kit but it's gone. Spewin'. Quote:

Virgil said the same about Jack. At 19 he was awesome. We heard no one better at both. Unfortunately I have' seen Jack in years. He's 37 now. And changed his name to Irwin Thomas, He hung out with the Dweezil Zappa for a while in LA. The guy should have been a worldwide phenomenon, but he's a waste of amazing talent. Actually his name IS really Irwin Thomas - Jack Jones is (or rather was) his artist name. His guitar playing is out of this world. He is such a great musician.
I am not into his new stuff personally. Emmanuel is a monster. I've seen him live twice. He is uncanny.

Sorry I should have said back to Irwin Thomas.
He was born in the States and hid dad died when he was 2. His mum came back to Oz and remarried. I first saw him playing covers at 17. He used a Fluorescent yellow Vai Ibanez with the monkey grip. He sang and played well beyond his years. I have a few of his gigs back then too. But I don't think this is the forum for that as there's no Virg in those bands. Quote:
