Buddy Rich Memorial vids...classic stuff!!!

Sorry I'm not posting any but some of you knows damn well where to get them...bling bling bling.

Anyway i just wanna know what you guys think of these drum vids.

My favorite aside those amazing clips of Buddy is the Gadd, Weckl and Colaiuta drum battle.
Yamaha drums shines the most here since all three uses them. In terms of pure bombastic chops ,Colaiuta, I think shines the most. Gadd the premier groove funky master doing his thing as musical as ever, I love his foot work. Weckl, I just love his double strokes and stylish soloing.

Other cats like Dennis Chambers shines the most during the drum battle making Bellson and Bisonette's chops nothing but pudding...hehe.

The Marvin Smitty Smith vs Steve Smith was also one heck of battle. Marvin's fast hands and Steve's well controlled feets.

And finally Mr. Neil Peart doing his world class drum solo which anyone here in this forum can easily do. Well, he sucks a little playing the Buddy's bigband tunes but atleast he was there.

Still the greatest is still Buddy, afaic.

just a quick peek and post... missed you guys, yeah you too alencore...

i don't know if im the only one who noticed it.. but, watch again the 4bar trade of Colaiuta, Gadd & Weckl...

you hear People (on the background) reacting (positively of course) to some solos of Vinnie Colaiuta ... they where cheering some stuff that He's (colaiuta) doing.... it makes me wanna cry... i tell you, He's the best, in my own opinion of course...

i hear none for Weckl & Gadd... oh ok!! just one very "whispery" cheer for weckl.... LOL!!

hey hey people, don't want another drum feud in here... just sharing what i noticed....

hi everyone,
i'm new here. i must have watched that video about 150 times. listen very closely to Gadd's 4 bar break at the end of his second song- the Baritone Sax player comes in two bars early (i found this hilarious...)!
Vinnie absolutely shines throughout, but I just wished his solo went for longer (like Weckl's does...).
How's Buddy doing his behind the back cymbal catches and the old pull-the-stick-out-of-the-hihat thing in that clip?!
