CAB Tour Postponed! A long year on the road comes to an end!
With news just in that the CAB tour of India has been postponed for the time being, my long year on the road has finally reached a conclusion. The Devil's Slingshot tour was the final assault.
In seven weeks, we covered 15 countries and over 30,000 Kilometers! This is a true test of endurance, and confirms one's ability to remain focused and motivated with the job at hand - the music and the performance. To this end, I apologize to those whom I didn't get a chance to meet after the shows. I'd like to add that my main priority is to deliver my best performance for the audience. Any after show activities are not compulsory, but I do my best, and in fact, did make most of the signing sessions. I have to try and manage myself physically and mentally, to come up with my best night after night, under these arduous conditions on the road. To some I may have appeared tired off stage. This may be due to the fact that I'm one of those rare animals that don't sleep well on a night-liner (band bus), but again, I don't let it compromise my performance. In any case, thanks for expressing your concerns on the message board. I reassure you that I'm in top shape, and already looking forward to the final gigs of the year next weekend at 'The Baked Potato' in Los Angeles.
Thank you to all those who came along to the shows, and to all the fans in the new territories which I'd never previously toured. Your reception and enthusiasm were well worth the miles. I'm including an mp3 of one of my solos - this one from the gig in Rome - also included are some pics from that evening.
