hi to all drummers and percussionist out there
good day can you please give some tips or advices on playing my double bass technique i am currently using a double pedal (Lazer) and i play drums for almost 3 years and i can't get a double bass in a 16-32nd note especially that freakin feet hurts... A.) any advices about it B.) what would be better for speed drumming heels up or heels down ( in my case i try heels up and try a 8 second note and it SUCKS due to its balance) C.) will a metronome be nice in practicing with a double bass..? i am currently a new user because i want to improve my skills as a drummer THANK YOU |

Start off heel down to get a feel for the pedal, and to get your weaker foot working nicely. Once you're comfortable there try experimenting with finding your balance with the heels up. Things to consider are stool height and distance from the pedal.
Definately use a metronome for double bass practise. Lastly spend a few hours searching and reading the threads in this section, where there's tons of info. and be patient with it. |
