Lesson #044 - Double Bass Paradiddles with Inserts
Playing paradiddles with the bass drums has always been a good way to develop technique and flexibility with the feet, but unless you have two different pitches, has limited purpose. However, as I show in this lesson, by inserting a note in between the doubles of the paradiddle, it creates a very interesting rhythm. This now renders the paradiddle pattern very useful and effective, especially when you are using a double pedal, or two bass drums tuned to the same pitch....
