Double Bass Drum Tuning?
Ok here's the deal. I recently bought a double bass drum set off ebay. the problem is that I didnt know the bass drums were different sizes. Ones larger than the other. Ive been going back and forth for like 2 days now, and cant get them to sound the same. Ive fooled around with muffeling and tension. Any one have any insight. it would be apperiacted thankx.

They're two different beasts. You can get the same pitch (maybe) but the drums will still have different volumes, levels of attack, depth, tone, etc. Don't let it get you down though. You can get them close enough to play double bass with, and also have a cool second kick with a different sound. Lots of great drummers like to use two different sized kicks at once, Dave Weckl for example.
