Awesome, I love the 2 over 3 as well. You've inspired me to go practice, that's the best compliment I can give.

Is that a raw mix? You've got some killer sounding drums.

Hey Derek, any chance of you putting up that very first solo you posted at your forum? It was the latin one which you posted in a thread called "So you wanted to hear me playing something else???".... That was killer.

thanks guy's. glad you enjoyed them.
the 2 or 3 is just that. with the right foot.....alternates 8th notes between the kick and cable hat (in 2) starting with the kick. with the left foot alternates between the kick and 2 notes on the hi hat (in 3) starting with the kick. the left foot is on the and's.
it's basically a string of sixteeths... moving the feet to a different sound source. it's a fun one.

I close my eyes and put on "groovin'" and I feel like I am back to listening to Zoro's Commandments of R&B...good feel, 0% bulldozing...

You do something like "2 or 3" at the beginning of your shows with HE, right? I'm amazed while watching your feet during that opening. Thanx for sharing!
