I just read this statement at Allan Holdsworth forum from Derek Sherinian regarding Planet X.

WOW! I would KILL to see Allan with Planet X live! And I say it's about time Allen got a G3 spot. I don't know how compatible he would be with Satriani and/or Vai, but I'd sure as hell love to be there when it happens.

Nice to see you again TwoTails, and yes Allan is definitely on the next X album and it look's like they are working to see if it can develop into MORE than just a album spot. I am with you on linking Virg and Allan together, it has been in my imagination for years. I actually have heard for years that when Allan came to Australia years ago Virg played with him, so maybe there was an introduction before, but this is WAY better. Planet X touring with Allan and doing G3 with Allan on guitars, MOVE OVER Steve and Joe. I know those 2 look WAY UP to Allan, the Man is a GIANT in the REAL music world and he has influnced countless Great players.

Wow! Now that will be awesome.
I got my 'classic rock' fix last night, seeing my faves Queen! Now it's time for my 'good ol' fashioned extreme instrumental' fix with Messers Holdsworth, Donati and Sherinian!
Who can honestly touch Allan on complete ability?
