Have any of you heard of benny greb, 23 year old german player?

Great playing, I think he's very talented and tasteful. He's got some good latin/fusion stuff going (the left foot clave ostinato was cool...more and more people are busting that out these days,) but he doesn't impress me in that realm like El Negro, Weckl, or Vinnie would. He is only 23 though, so very impressive, not for the chops that every other 20 year old focuses on but for the maturity and musicality (which most 20 years olds don't care about.)

I hear ya. Actually, have a look at all the vids from that meinl event, they're all great. I enjoyed mike terrana. Actually, mike terrana is amazing. Also incredible feet.

wow. very nice touch, great feel
that floor tom sounded killer. especially when he hit it with his hand. I guess you could say hes got a real hand for the drums

I love Terrana's groove, he's not just a hard hitter, he really knows how to funkafize (if you get what I mean).

He´s an amazing drummer. i think the best parts were when he was playing grooves. maybe the ostinato parts need a little more practise....i have listened so much horacio hernandez that maybe that´s why that clave part sounded so lame.I agree with that happy meal issue
