Hi Virgil,
I was watching The 'Steve Vai Live in the London Astoria' DVD - what can I say but Wow!! I was Totally blown away!! - Your Playing and stamina throughout the set and of course that Drum solo!! I am keen to learn more about dynamics in my rudiment playing and see the dynamic of the sounds being achieved in using either the bead or the butt of the stick - I would like to learn how to incorpotrate the 'twirling'/spinning of the sticks into my rudiment playing so I can open up more choice of stick sounds - How do you approach learning the spinning and twirling of the sticks with such fluidity? I would be grateful for some hints and tips Feeling Very inspired! Glyn ![]() |
