Hey folks
I ordered and got Project Steiger: Defiance last week!
It is a thrill-ride of fast heavy guitar playing with the added bonus of Tony Franklin, Derek Sherinian and ofcourse Virgil.
Sonically it's kind of a PX meets ROF without vocals (luckily).
Ken Steigers guitar playing is solid and he is really producing some nice riffs!
Derek is recocnizable and rock solid aswell, and Virg really shines on several pieces. The overall sound is not over the top (like when TJ is enginering Virg)
but pretty darn good still.
The material is not as technical as say PX, but it is more fluid and more exciting than ROF in my ears.

On 2 tracks another drummer (name totally forgotten, cd is at home sorry)
is playing and Virg outshines him like he would with most other drummers in the world.

I think it is definately worth purchasing, and it gets my thumbs up for sure!!
Any thoughts from someone else who has bough it??
