What rudiments lies down on the basics of his drum solos ? |

if you ever see him play you'll see that he covers the entire arsenal of rudiments... I think he especially likes playing flam rudiments (I think some of the ones in the Vai DVD solo are flamadiddles and flamadiddlediddles) really really quickly btwn his cymbals and snare... of course it ends up sounding like a Buddy Rich single stroke...

yeah ... but ... in his solos i hear all the time the up and down circle from the snare toms and bass drums reall fast sounding like a smooth 32 or kinda like a tremolo.
trrrrrrausdvflahsdlfhasldfbalsudfdufudufudufdufduf ud :P when he;s crosig hand with the cymbals hittin the floor tom often he-s doing the double bass work -> are there PARADIDDLE`s there or single strokes played fast ? |

the circle thing... I play it:
paradiddlediddle on snare (first hit on cymbal) 2 singles on high tom 2 on low tom 3 on bass (the third note hits with the cymbal at the next go around) all played as 32nds or sextuplets |

malt... do you mean the first stroke of the paradiddle, withbass?
what timesignature is this??? i will try it just right now in my drum set if you can,, can you explain it a lil more better?
