Vai clip, and new weblog entry

Well, i've just read the new weblog entry, and its made me think about who Virgil is on a personal level. His entry seems quite philosophical, a man of thought. He also seems to like his vocabulary (thaumaturge??), there is an Irish composer i used to study with who was exactly the same, a great guy too! Anyways i can't wait to see those CAB highlights
Speaking of highlights, the first thing i thought of when i played the Vai clip was it seemed like an extension of the Live at the Astoria DVD. I also watched Virgil's drumming with new eyes (yet again) as i had just finished my first day in the studio recording drums. I actually used the Slammage music minus drums for my college project. It's alot harder than i thought, especially as it was a last minute decision and i had no practice done! I learnt alot that day.
A little note about the server that day, it took AGES to download the highlight clip, the speed was at 3 KB p/sec on broadband! I hope the server will be upgraded soon Chris!

WOW I would love to hear/see that! I love his composings!!
I have found Virg to be exeptionally thoughtful and philosophical and quite aware of the world he is living in.
I look forward to that/those clips Virg!

BTW I had the same experience reg. downloading as Jimi!

Virg is the greatest inspiration I have known , humble, intelligent, compassionate, a true pioneer, a leader.....if only all humankind possessed such qualities.

Virgil Donati the only drummer I never get tired of listening to and whom inspires greatness, cheers! to you mate
