Virgil on fire
This is probably one of my favorite Virgil solo's probably b/c of what he soloing over making it sound awesome. I also like that he is using Zildian cymbals (just kidding) and a pieced together kit.
I wanna hear some other of your guys favorite solo of Virgil's as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=em1T...feature=related |

it's all good but wouldn't there be some legal consequences on account of the fact that he's using Zildijans while being signed up with Sabian? I remember a story of, I think, Charlize Theron who had a contract for promoting one brand of handwatches but during one of events she was wearing something different and they wanted to sue her.

Virgil IS STILL a Sabian user!!! for some reason the store who lent Virgil the kit had Zildjian cymbals...this vid was taken in Russia at the Igor Butman Club!! At one vid Virgil was using a Tama kit {with Pearl Eilm pedals} evans heads and Zildjian cymbals!!!

Thanks for the clips! Awesome stuff!
I don't think Sabian acts like that watch brand did with Charlize Theron.

If an artist travels to a part of the world to perform and the
product the artists uses and endorses does not supply to that particular section of the globe, the artist still has an obligation to fulfill his or her commitment to perform.... When Billy performs in Brazil, Yamaha does not cover that area with equipment support... So he uses drums provided by the Brazilian drum company, Odery.

Honestly, every solo he's done is at such an awesome level it doesn't really matter which one I watch, they all blow my mind.
Shame about the quality but I've always loved this one, also because it's one of my fave planet x songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvoqPVNHWHI

Yeah... I new that he was using what was available for where ever he was at. My point which should go without saying is no matter what he plays on it still is going to sound amazing....at least the drums can be tuned the way he wants.
