I love Nick D'Virgillio's groove drumming with Spock's Beard - too many of his stuff to mention, but the 'Snow' album is chock full of great drum parts.

OMG!! I love this album!! I think it's Spock's Beard's (or Neal Morse's) masterpiece!! Lot's of killer grooves indeed! I scratched both discs, so I'll buy the entire double album again soon! Normally I'd download or copy it, but this album deserves another sale!

Another killer groove = VIRGIL DONATI on Joel Hoekstra - 9/11 (album: The moon is falling)

Also: Virgil on Planet X - Space Martini

AND Virgil Donati - Pwitl (From Stretch!)

!

+1. He's very underrated.

And I agree with Frank about Snow. "Wind at My Back" is one of the best worship songs ever.

Oh, and 'St. Augustine in Hell' by Sting, with Vinnie on drums. That's great, too.

But Vinnie doesn't just stay on the drums does he? He plays them too on that album?

I think he's the only drummer on the CD, yup. There might be an outside percussionist for songs like 7 Days, I'm not sure!
