My new power, speed and endurance exercises

Some concepts have been stolen from Virgil Donati's Power Drumming. All these exercises are meant to be played at the SAME tempo - I've started playing them as 8th notes at 140 (ie. so it's really 16th notes at 70). I use the higher tempo count so it's easier to get the spacing between notes consistant.

Davidís Power, Endurance and Speed exercises:

All hand exercises alternate as 1 minute VERY LOUD hits, and 1 minute VERY SOFT hits.

In all feet exercises, VOLUME and TIMING must be CONSISTANT! No accents unless stated otherwise!

All exercises are leading with the weak limb (ie. A right handed person leads with their left hand or left foot) unless stated otherwise!

1. 5 minutes DOUBLE STROKES between the FEET.

2. 5 minutes SINGLE STROKES between the FEET.

3. 4 minutes DOUBLE STROKES between the HANDS. MATCHED GRIP. FOUR strokes per drum.

4. 4 minutes SINGLE STROKES between the HANDS. MATCHED GRIP. TWO strokes per drum.

5. 2 minutes SETS OF FOUR between the FEET.

6. 2 minutes SETS OF EIGHT between the FEET.

7. 4 minutes DOUBLE STROKES between the HANDS. TRADITIONAL GRIP. FOUR strokes per drum.

8. 2 minutes SETS OF FOUR between the HANDS. TRADITIONAL GRIP. EIGHT strokes per drum.

9. 2 minutes SETS OF EIGHT between the HANDS. TRADITIONAL GRIP. SIXTEEN strokes per drum.

10. 2 minutes alternating two strokes hands, two strokes feet. Ie. LH RH LF RF. Two strokes per drum.

11. 2 minutes alternating four strokes hands, four strokes feet. Ie. LH RH LH RH LF RF LF RF. Four strokes per drum.

12. Repeat previous two exercises leading with RIGHT HAND.

The next four exercises are ONE stroke per drum.

13. 2 minutes alternating single strokes between LEFT HAND and RIGHT FOOT.

14. 2 minutes alternating single strokes between RIGHT HAND and LEFT FOOT.

15. 2 minutes alternating single strokes between LEFT HAND and LEFT FOOT.

16. 2 minutes alternating single strokes between RIGHT HAND and RIGHT FOOT.

17. 2 minutes SWISS TRIPLETS leading with the LEFT HAND played around the kit.

18. 2 minutes SWISS TRIPLETS leading with the RIGHT HAND played around the kit.

19. 2 minutes 3 feel doubles played with LEFT FOOT on top of 4/4 beat

20. 2 minutes 3 feel doubles played with RIGHT FOOT on top of 4/4 beat.
Total Exercise length: 50 minutes.
