New Project for Peter...
Pete, I think you may be interested in the new pedal from Gibraltar. If you get a chance give it a go and let us all know what you think. Your input is alway appreciated.

I think he's already looked at that one.

This pedal feels so bad to me. I understand the anatomy aspects but so much energy is wasted because it utilizes some flimsy "physics". No matter how hard you stomp on that thing it never sounds like you're hitting hard...it's because it's not based on a "pulley" but more like a ramp...in fact I tried one upstairs on a bass pad and the sound of my foot smashing the ground was (edit) MUCH louder than the actual pad.

yeah the design looks weird. i personally hate these single post type
of pedals except axis. any known drummer using this? |
Honestly, I have not tried the
pedal and so, cannot give a true, first-hand view on it. However, I have looked at the photos and read the description and just cannot see how it would give me anything near to what I look for in a drum-pedal. I am open to reading reports. When I get the chance, I will try one, too and let you know, as soon as I do. Presently, I am enjoying the Trick Bigfoot, Axis-A's (repaired) and am waiting to see if the DW/Pacific people ever do any- thing about their Boa-Pedal, which I have so promoted. |
