its alot easier to make sound tight , thats for damn sure....

inverted doubles, what is that exactly, the serch engine isnt working, and the only thing i can think of is mabey, toe heel instesad of heel-toe, thats inverted right????

regular doubles = rr ll rr ll
inverted = L rR lL rR lL rR

And what pros do actually use it???

virgil does inverted doubles with most of his grooves....if you watch the steve vai dvd, he actually does inverted doubles in the solo, and in a bunch of other places. it's ridiculous how fast and clean he can play them.

i really don't know of any other guys that make a point to play with inverted doubles for most of the time....lang doesn't really, but i don't know about other guys.

The inverted double stroke is a great exercise and soloing tool. most drummers do it with their hands mr. donati does it with his feet..awesome...

If you check out the last video from the Baked Potato gig, Virgil does inverted doubles at the most ridiculous tempo! All clean, and all powerful as hell.
