Ahhh I remember that one, thats was damn good, was it the one where the camera man p****d everyone on this board off by moving the camera during Virg's solo? Or the other one which was entitled "Virgil"?

I canŽt divide that solo in sections as YOU would.....perhaps you can do that and weŽll try our best in describing it. Do something like:
part "X" - goes from 1:32 to 1:59.... or something like that, then IŽm sure a good soul here will reply properly. Believe me, in those 6 minutes, lots of things are going on.

ok i've diveded it into these parts:
start-0.17
0.18-1
1-1.34
1.35-2
2-2.43
2.44-3.37
3.38-4.43
4.44-5.30
5.30-5.40
5.40-end

if anyone could tell me what's going on in any of these...

(plz)

So do you just want a general breakdown of what he's doing or do you want a tab?

1-basically he's setting himself up for a groove
2-Virg shows off his hand foot coordination in a cool groove
3-That's one of his signature grooves which incorporates hurtas(a standard drum corps lick) on his feet, very difficult to do, he's setting up the time for some chops work
4-He takes that triplet groove and turns the quater note triplet into the beat, giving the listener a "false sense of time," but "one" is always there... it's just hiding!
5-doing some tricky rudiments on the feet, sounds to me like inverted flam taps, and then back into the groove. I think once the groove starts he's playing fives on his feet on occasion, another very difficult thing to do (2.43)

I gotta go practice some more... I'll finish later if no one else picks up where I left off

I'll go back and double check... but I'm pretty sure the whole thing I syphered is in 4/4, but he changes tempo a few times.
