Has any of you guys (maybe some of the aussies) ever seen the "Double bass drums"-video that Virgil made in 1986? His very first! I can't track it down anywhere!

Wow, how did you even hear of it!? If someone has this (other than Virg himself:)) it would be worth alot of money!!

i'm an aussie and have seen virgil play over 100 times from bands like loose change, on the virg, southern sons, raw, a rock cover band and hans valen a van halen cover band. A few of these i have on video. not always the best quality as i had a hand held with a mic that found it tough to handle the sound levels. But all the same some great stuff. I'm pretty sure I have the 86 video you're enquiring about. Virg plays for about 5 mins soloing takes his jacket off whilst stil plays his double kick. Then he plays along with a backing track for the 2nd part. Old but still amazing.

Yes, a close mate of mine has that video...i have a dubbed copy. Amazing stuff! only goes for about 15-20 minutes...but its still a jaw dropper from virg's earlier days!

Just found this thread. Is this the same video as the Obsessive Rhyhtms video? If not, does anyone have it or did anyone find it or whatever?

I have one special video,when Virgil make a Soundcheck in one night show in Bulgaria,before the Planet X concert!!

No I don't have the video in question, But I was smart enough to record the audio from it.
It is only a short video, about 20mins. It opens with a studio clip of Virgil and his band at the time. I think it was a early version of "The State", then into a solo and run down of Double Bass drum playing.
Finally finishing with Virgil playing along with one of his sequenced tunes. I think this was an early working of "The Origin and the End" from Obsessive Rhythms. It was in very limited release, But it is out there.
