Hum... Just watched it again; they're
crotales right?

After tears of watching and hearing I still have no idea...
BTW, if you dig him, get Porcupine Tree Live at Rockpalast. It's a great video by a German (I think) channel, released on DVD by the band, so it's an unoficcial-official thing. Amazing performance and sound, not to mention Gavin Harrison still owns us all heheh.

Not my cup of tea.
Sounds like a light version of Weckl.
I want backbeat!
@ C.J: I think you were right first off,- they look like Zilbells from Zildjian.

PT are definately worth checking out. Deadwing and In Absentia feature Gavin's playing.

I really like this video. Gavin posts on the Drummerworld forum btw, and will answer any questions you have for him.

Actually, I checked out on that
they are said to be home made
crotales cut out of used Zildjian
cymbals...

Has that come out in stores
or is it some online buy only
thing?

Well, I didn't find it anywhere to buy so I had to download it. If it's an official release I'd be glad to spend my money on that but, as I said, it's nowhere to find, I only found out it was a broadcast and some sites say there's a DVD.

Now that is nice playing. Anyone who can play as tight and tasteful and musical as that is gonna be a first port of call for producers. Nice find!

Just checked out on the Drummerworld
forums where Gavin hangs out and ans-
weres questions - he wrote there that
the Porcupine Tree Live Deuveudeu will
hopefully be out this summer.

This will indeed be my next buy!

Gavin is Le Grande Fromage.

Are you insinuating that he smells
and is all runny?
