View Full Version : Imaginary Drummer
Yep, an imaginary drummer. Drums all the time, practices hard, is actually quite good, yet nobody hears or knows about them. That would be me. I haven't had one good oppurtunity to play out for my entire time drumming. I'm pretty much "imaginary." Anyone else here an imaginary drummer? I mean, it's not a bad thing really, but it somewhat defeats the purpose of devoting time to something that you'll never be able to show for. Maybe that's why I keep practicing? Input.

Trust me, as a drummer, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding people to perform with. If your timing's solid, you have your own gear, and you're fundamentally a nice person, then you're sorted.
Now, guitarists...there's an epidemic for you...
Well, I don't have much gear to perform with. I don't have more than a crash and a ride because I don't have a job ( when I do get hired at either of the places I've applied at, I'll invest in them ). I'm hoping to perform soon though.

There's a thread in the "Music and Everything else" part of the board where there's a recording by me. I think it's still there anyway.

That's a good point.
Guitarists always think it's about them.
Pretty much. but what's worse than guitarists? The singers, most of the time. They have this self pretty-boy image nowadays. There are MANY who don't have this image, but the sensitive emo boy singers, that's who I'm talking about. Looks like that's all I'm surrounded by here in T-county.

Tell them all to grow balls and be men :)
I don't get much exposure outside of church or my band, but I have a reputation amongst my peers if that counts for anything :)
Then you're king in one world, and one world ought to be enough. However, it's good to go on to bigger stuff, of course. Whichever is more important I guess.

It's the perennial debate on whether it's better to be a small fish in a big pond, or vice versa.
I guess so. I technically don't even have a pond. I just want to swim.
I'm done with this thread.
