Hey well I should be getting my Eliminator soon, and I want to try different bearings in it. Anyway, I'm planning on ordering some ceramic bearings from Pleasure Tools for my skateboard, and if they fit and work well in the Eliminator I was going to buy some more to keep in it!
Just wondering anyway...

No idea but I encourage you
to be creative and share what
you find out! :)

I've chatted to a guy who is sponsored by the company and says that ceramic bearings can almost be considered overkill in his Iron Cobra, but I'm still going to try it out and I'd be like the only person I know with ceramic bearings in a skateboard :)
How is it possible to change the bearings in the Eliminator? I was going to try my Iron Cobra Jr. last night but it needed a small allen key and I couldn't find our set of allen keys so I couldn't try it. Hoping to get my Eliminators tomorrow but I don't think I can because I spoke to Steve yesterday (store owner) and he said that it hasn't come in yet and he's going to chase it up today.

Try them, as is. You may like
them just the same.
You can go to any hardware
store and pick up those Allen
wrenches. It's worth the mon-
ey and please tell me, why did
he say it was overkill on the
IC's? Just would like to know.

I remember I changed the bearing of my very first double pedal to some high quality bearings and once i got them inplace using the smallest allen wrench to unscrew the nut holding the bearing wow my pedals almost felt like high ends ones.

I don't know why he said it was almost overkill. My imagination suggests that it could feel TOO good :)

actually those default bearing inplace are really good ones already. you won't feel much difference, i think.

I wouldn't think so.
Can you have a look at the bearings and tell me what text is on them? My pedal hadn't come in so Steve (the store owner) is gonna contact the people he's getting it from and see what's going on. Me want my pedal! :)

Well if you get a chance (I don't want you to go out of your way) would you be able to check for a size and ABEC rating?
Don't take your pedal apart just for me or anything, that would make me feel rude :). Just if you happen to take it apart for any reason at all then it would be nice if you could let me know :).
Most skateboard bearings have a number something like "608 ZX" which is the size, and most of them have an ABEC rating such as "ABEC 7" on them as well.

You're going to like them, David.
It will be worth it. :D
Let me know how you like the cams
etc. and what you seem to prefer.
Remember to try everything. Don't
forget to move the Power Shifter.
Good luck. :)

Yeah there are things like that but the pedals I did the modification i sold years ago.
Anyway those bearing I got from just a local hardware store. i just placed my finger inside the hole of the bearing just to check if it's smooth enough to roll. a little stiff or sticky at first since they are kinda virginal (lol) but after some few days of using them the beater started to swing much faster thus a lot more lighter feel.
My yamaha pedal do use almost the same bearing but smaller ones.

It came! It came!
Last night my old drum teache held his annual Drum Concert. This year there were 40 students - twice as many as last year.
Anyway, I was just sitting there calmly in the isle watching one of the not-as-much-of-a-beginner-as-most-of-them drummers performing, when Steve Forrest comes charging into my isle, plonks a box down next to me and says "The receipts in the box!"
For the next 5 minutes I was like =O.
And I had a look at the bearing on the left hand side of the slave pedal.... They're Nachis!!!! No, they're not named after the worm that was written to destroy MSBlaster, they've been aroudn longer than that!
Nachis are the bearings that all beginner skateboarders want! They're ok bearings, if you're used to bearings that come on Kmart skateboards :).
Basically, the bearings they use aren't anything special at all. I'm gonna try my movement bearings in the pedal after I've played on it to see how it feels and if I can notice a difference.
