Got back from an exclusive double-bass class with Virg just before; It was simply rad. Virg' had some really insightful and just downright rad things to say about the balance between creativity and sheer mechanical functionality. The class went for two hours, and I was absolutely beaming the entire time. I recieved an 8-page handout with some mad excercises and got to slam many a flam accent (among other things) with Virg and the class.
I've got a hand technique class tomorrow morning, and then a workshop with Virg and Rufus at 1. I'm so excited - best early birthday(21dec) present EVER!
Thanks again Virgil!

There was alot of focus on shifting from one meter to a higher and back and forth, to gain mechanical skill (as in from 16ths to 16th triplets), and then lots of things in relevance with maximising practice, by playing rhythms over the top of the shifting meters. It was mad.

Just to annoy you guys that didn't go even more, I'll be delighted to say that Virg and Rufus played the new version of Dog Boots in the Drum and Bass Clinic - AWESOME!!! Totally different...

@MrFizzyCola:
Cold you go more into detail?
How was the lesson arranged? Did he demonstrate it and then you had to play simultanously and at what speed?
Was it like: Everybody takes care of himself or did he go around and gave tips?

MrFizzyCola:
I hope you have a good reason not to answer. We are just curious about how it was in detail. Please tell us how it was and a few pics would be great to!
Please! I will likely never have the chance to do a masterclass with Virgil.
