Hi guys,
I have to upgrade my practice cymbal set and I am wondering what brand of cymbals to get. In fact my personal favourite are Sabian but I am Bulgarian and it is very expensive to order Sabian cymbals since there's not a dealer in Bulgaria  thats why it will be much cheaper to buy Meinl cymbals. The problem is I have never tried these. Actually all I need to know is do they break easily? cause I've used various kinds of cymbals and I've had a lot of trouble cause crashes crashed for 1 or 2 months. As I mentioned above it is for my practice kit so I dont care about their sound so much

Meinl make great cymbals, as far as their durability is concerned I couldn't tell you but I have a 20" Byzantine China and it has a fantastic sound. Also, it's not broken yet so uhh yeah no problems there ;) it's about .... lemme think.... I got in trouble off my ex for buying it so it's probably 1 1/2 years old or so.

I've got all the Lang Signatures. I love them. They have a very distinct sound, though. Make sure you watch Creative Control before you buy them so you know what they sound like, if you should choose to get them.

The Meinl TWO YEAR WARRANTY is very cool, even though I've noticed that if a cymbal is going to break, it will with in the first 6 mo or so.

I have the lang 17" and 18" crashes...nice sounds...
Those particular cymbals are PERFECT for practice and for good sounds on a tight budget.
I can imagine that cymbals made in North America cost as much over THERE as European cymbals cost over HERE.
Meinls are making great cymbals! Go for them!

Meinl are the best cymbals I've ever played.

The Byzance Series in particular... outstanding value for money!!!

also, I dealt with the customer service rep from Meinl a few times... and let me tell you.. this guy is unbelievable.. You will never experience customer service this good from any other company... They truly care about they players that play their cymbals.

i switched to Meinl cymbals about a year ago. I used to use Zildjian cymbals, but I really love the Meinl stuff. I have the Byzance cymbals and I also have some of the Tom's Becken (Thomas Lang Sig.) stuff.
