Ok, well I'm planning on starting up a progressive fusion/metal/rock band in the footsteps of Planet X and Dream Theatre. Anyway, I was just wanted an opinion on something...

...Should I have a singer in the band? What I was thinking was look for a guitarist and keyboardist (my brother plays bass) and then discussing with them whether we have a singer or not. I don't really mind either way, but I would prefer no singer.

Also, can anyone give me a good name for the band? I'm currently at a loss, I just can't think of any good names.

Progmetusion
Latemgorp (Prog Metal backwards :))

Nah I think that's a little bit to similar to Dream Theater ;).

Although I do spell Dream Theatre like that because I'm Australian and that's the way we spell words like centre and metre here ;)

it's better to have a short name so ppl can remember it easily like Tool, Rush, Toto etc.
My band is named............ OG.........yeah.........lol!

How about "On The Pardy"? Or "Planet Pardy"? Or perhaps even "Pardy Planet"? They could work...or not. haha
