Actually there were some people talking about this over at DTSunderground.com where I hang out a lot, and one of the forum members there said that his friend programs drums for them :\ So after some discussion, it was decided that the recording had programmed drums. The guy who said it plays in a band that did some shows on Warped Tour last year and stuff, so he knows people from all over.

I think tDEP's more musical and even 'crazier' at times. I only listened to two MP3s, but I heard more common time--or at least quarter-note-value-time--than most tDEP songs.
I don't know about the MP3s, but that looks like a real drummer to me (in the photographs). Also, I skimmed some of the comments in the--oddly enough, I know--comments section, and found a comment that said 'Dualist pedals?' Perhaps, there was a being, in-the-pink, that played.
Regardless of whether the MP3s I heard contained programmed drums or live drums, I find Pennie's overall playing MUCH more interesting.
Pretty neat stuff, though.
What ever it is, programation or not,
this is the most interresting Hardcore/Death
whatever stuff that I ever heard.
Usually to me it is just noise. But this
stuff rocks.
I love it !!!
man you guys...I don't know...that just seemed so...pointless...it's less music than it is a solo/mess of guitar and what not.

If this is the most interesting heavy band you've heard, then it's quite obvious you have not checked out The Dillinger Escape Plan yet. :D
Well, be sure I'll check that out.
Thanks fot the tip.

well they are a real band (if you could say that...its two guys) If you go to any death metal type shows in Seattle, you will see them. And that guy does play that....irregardless of if they were programming in the studio, he can do it.
Blueman,
Is it as good as on the CD (whell I mean does the drummer do well live or is it sloppy) ?
