What is that bass drum add-on he is using called?? great sound from it too!

The add-ons are woofers...I don't know exactly what they do to the sound, but Bozzio also uses them and so does Tony Royster Jr.

They amplify the LOW frequencies. Hence the term WOOFER as in BASS woofer.

Check out the MD2000 dvd/video where Billy ward who also uses one gets his tech to demonstarte the difference in sound.

According to billy......you get a tremendous OOMF back at you through the monitors. Ok,..i didnt say oomf as rhythmic as billy does but then..... he's great! :)

I've only watched some of the Filler bits of the dvd so far but its interesting. [saving the best bits for last]

The make up artist Tal is pretty sexy and thats important right? I spotted her straight away,..... an instant distraction from marco and his DW white washed exotics. ;)

The keyboard player steve hamilton has a nice feel to his playing........and also works with Bill brufords earthworks.

The dvd has LESS than the extreme independance book on there than i first thought. Theres some....but not much.
Its more a dvd based on marcos tunes demonstrating the E.I concept from that angle instead of a tuitional one. I only wish they had not had a commentator say "Cue the music" on the menu section.....after 10 times...its pretty irritating to say the least. [Actually nauseating]

Worth buying imho just from the filler side.
