This is an excellent way to improve your ability to play single and double paradiddles. Moving them around the drums makes it interesting for you to work on, and at the same time helps you to become versed in starting the paradiddles on different parts of the beat. In fact, as you make the transitions, you are almost forced develop this ability. You can create your own set patterns, and I also recommend you then experiment with random movement. This will improve you reflexes around the drums, and your ability to improvise.
As always - COUNT!!
