Hey Christopher, I was wondering is their still going to be a Power Trio release, with Virg, Frank G. and Ricc F. and I noticed that their is a new movie Alfie or should I say a remake starring Jude Law, is this the movie that Virgil did some of the drumwork on for the soundtrack? Just curious.

Thank's

Kirk

You know Kirk, the Power Trio release was supposed to be worked on for a while now...but I guess it's been delayed since Virgil and TJ are the ones who were working on it. Since TJ has joined PX, it's been a pretty busy time for him as well, so I don't really have any up-to-date news on this project. It will be released only I don't have an exact date :(

As for the Alfie session, it is indeed the Jude Law flick. Virgil went in the studio to work on the remake of the 1966 version of it. Dave Stewart wrote the soundtrack, and Mick Jagger was on vocals on some of the tracks. Davey Brothers are on guitar and bass along with other great players.

Here's the info from IMDB - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0375173/fullcredits

He's only on some of the soundtrack, yeah. Not the WHOLE thing. :)

Thanks for the new clips of Virg at the Potato. That is one KILLING! band.
Look forward to seeing more. Those hanging tom's add an amazing dimension.

I second that, they're kinda in the position of the china's he had on the Obsessive Rhythms kit, well thats what it looks like to me, It took me about 2 mins to realise what they were, I just thought some dude had his kit next to Virg's from a set b4 and couldn't be bothered packing them up hehe, until I saw him hitting them!

He actually started with the hanging toms concept back in Australia. He did some stuff that I saw him do that was pretty sick...he decided to bring it back to his kit. It's pretty interesting.

However it's MUCH better if you can see it from the front. Watching it from the side is cool, but it's nowhere near as awesome as watching it from the front. You really get to see the effect!

Chris, will Virgil be using his new setup on the PX euro tour?
Im pretty sure he will. It looks like it's a locked in setup he's got.
We'll see how it all goes when the tour kicks off this month.

Sick is right! Sometimes i wonder is this place just a gathering of Virgil loonies, rather than a harmless message board!! :D
I was looking at the tour dates and they have a days rest (excluding travelling of course!) between the Poland and Italy gigs. The Rome gig is the last of the tour so hopefully all will be in a good mood, pity we cant stay if they go to a bar after :)
