For some reason I am not able to get any video feed for the clips, but it is not a WinAmp problem I use it alot, I just watched the clip over at HOD and it worked fine but is not working on this site, does anyone know what the problem might be, I would appreciate the help.

@kirk: I think you need either a Windows Media Player 9 Codec or just the whole program itself.

Is this from Virg's own camera or did someone give him a copy afterwards?

And do you remember pocketplayer over on the PX board was going to try and make a compilation of raw footage of Virg's gigs? He mentioned he was going to be allowed by Virg to dip into Virg's own collection of drum vids recorded on the road!! whatever happened to that?

Hey Jimi, thanks for the help. I am not really sure who exactly recorded the footage, I do know Virg was cool with letting the clip be shown, you know it was up to his level quality wise:eek:

I do know that PocketPlayer is still working on that whole idea and is keeping contact with Virg concerning his concept, I sure hope it comes to fruition.

Hey Peter, Yes I went ahead and just downloaded the newer codec and it fixed the problem, glad I got to see the other clip. Quite honestly I have some recent footage of Virgil from May with CAB at the Potato I just got and it is as good if not some parts better than what is posted here, hard to believe but true. The solo sections are longer where the band is vamping and Virg is blowing WOW! The man's dexterity,speed,power,
interdependence and creativity is really beyond what seem's real, but it is.

Speaking of Lang, he is definitely one of my favorite new guy's playing today,but looking at the many clips I have seen in the past year I do not see the depth of creativity and complexity in his phrasing going on and his tom work get's kind of old, repetitious to me pretty quick. Virg seems to have more going on in the 4 way interdependence realm, the way he layer's distinct rhythm's over one another, there seems to be alot more complexity and depth there.Lang impresses me with his clean, consistent and fluid playing and he has Great feet, and excellent dexterity, a fantastic drummer for sure.
