Pedal Maintenance

Hello friends!
Well,i am going straight to the question:Can anyone here give us some insight on how to maintain our pedals?I sent an e-mail to MAPEX,but i am still waiting for their reply!(I wonder if it is to their advantage replying??!!)All answers are appreciated!Thanks!

WD-40 works well, and just a damp rag to whipe the dirt and grime off, that's about as far as i go... i've had my DW delta for about 6 years, works great.. the real kicker with pedals is the quality of it.. if it's of quality, they're pretty much maitenence free, are you having an issue with your pedal? or is this just a general knowledge question.

if mapex replys, post it, i'd love to see what they have to say.

i find the best thing to use is silicon spray. it says on the can u can use it on anything (any metal parts). i find as soon as i get a squeak in my pedals i spray some on and presto its all gone. also makes the response alot smoother and wont harm ur finish on ur drums (from overspray etc)

Keep them clean. I use an air-gun (compressed air).

Tim, I must know how this silicon spray works. Does it ever turn into boogers or anything or does it stay greasy for a long time?

the stuff i have is H4000 silicone spray.
it says australian made so i dunno if u can get it anywhere else (im sure u can get similiar stuff)
its says on the can 'lubricates, protects, shines.' and it says 'food grade silicone.' so u can spray it in ur mouth! haha
no it doesnt turn into boogers it justs looks like water neing sprayed. and it does stay greasy for a long time. i wouldnt call it grease tho, its more 'smooth and clean' if that makes sense.
