These paradiddles are pretty cool:
http://www.pas.org/Publications/rudiments.html
Also, page 5, numbers 6-8 of Stick Control are pretty good as well.
I don't get it.
He asked for good Paradiddles.
I thought a paradiddle was just a rudiment.
Are there like, 40 different forms of paradiddles or what?

Paradiddle, Double Paradiddle, Triple Paradiddle, Paradiddle-Diddle, Reverse Paradidle, Inward Paradiddle, Outward Paradiddle, Flam Paradiddle, Flammed Mill, hahaha, theres some. ;) You can go nuts on Paradiddle's, there are way more ways to play them, they just arnt listed 'cause teachers have enough trouble getting kids to learn the basic rudiments haha. :)

Hey,
I have a problem with paradiddles:when i get to about 170bpm, my paradiddles suck, they don't sound good, i tried to take one hand at a time, but in fact it's my left hand that can't go any faster with the paradiddle.
If anyone has ever gotten this problem, please help me !!!

Hi El Salsero
Try taking your paradiddles (or any other rudiment) WAY down in tempo!
And keep them there for a long time (practicing slowly in a week or 2 just working on the execution of the strokes) and then s-l-o-w-l-y taking them back up,--- you will be able to take them higher than before,- I guarantee it!

Accenting your rudimentary approaches are
the most important thing in my book.
The paraddidle and diddle-diddle top the list
and I think it's because they encompass
the 3 and 4 note patterns. Master these
and you have the key to odd-meter.

El Salsero, try playing paradiddles without the accent as well. Heres a good excercise for that.
RLRL-RLRL-RLRR-LRLL (The dashes are not pauses, keep it flowing, no accents)
also try
(RLRL-RLRL-RLRL-RLRL)-(RLRR-LRLL-RLRR-LRLL)
Also (you're probably already doing this but..) set a metronome to as fast as you can play but make sure the metronome is playing 16th notes as well, and listen to make sure every note you play is right on. And I mean EVERY note. If you find you're not right on then slow it down and try again.

Jeez.. inward paradiddle?!?! i dont know that shit! can you explain it??
and yes.. the post was kinda awkward, cuz,,yes, PARADIDDLE is just one rudiment ... PARADIDDLE DIDDLE is another thing. still in the same quadrant of diddle rudiments, but quite different.
you meant orchestration?'
that is a good question. HOW DO YOU ORQUESTATE THEPARADIDDLE? or inverted paradiddles?
el salsero...
well, i had problems too. i think,.. you must check the accent... what i did, is ... to raise up my forearm and move my wrist like emulating a swam shape, when i make the accents.. if you read modern drummer, you can get that from MARTIAL ARTS for drums.

Peter, I couldn't agree more, but how do you mean "Accenting rudimentary approaches?"
