I've been forever trying to find various ways to use my fingers in the traditional grip left hand to perform faster 16th notes on my left hand. What has always worked best is just using a combination of wrist, rebound, and moeller. I was wonder what you cats out there use and what you might recommend? thanks

Wrists and rebound mostly, but not moeller - I don't like the sound it produces. Also, being a lefty on a right-handed kit helps me on that one.

Watch Billy Cobhams video...go to tigerbill.com and read some articles he wrote...esp the Billy Gladdstome technique...try using different stick sizes and types too...it might sound rediculous, but if you can play a three stroke roll at 220 bpm, on a pillow (sticks, not you!), using marching or 2B sticks, then yeah, you'll be fast with 5B or 7A sticks! :p
