Hello everybody im new here and Im glad to say hi to everybody is a great site, I see everybody help each other.
If you dont mind can you tell me your speed playing double strokes with your feet in bpm and how long can you last playing that speed,Im asking you because im very curious of the speed and endurance that you people have.

I can play about 180 bpm and last from 30 sec to 2 minutes depends the energy that i have but let me say it really take me a lot of practice to get this speed if go over 190 bpm i last just few seconds playing double strokes with feet because is hard.

The truth how many of you guys (because I know there are very good drummers here)can play the song Invisible Man all the way(because I cant)and what is the most difficult part to you to play in that song.

Thank you and I hope to make good fellows drummers in here.

Last time I've been trying to develope strong enough doubles at 180 but I still must work on it. So for now I can do good dobules at about 170 BPM for I don't know.... 2-3 minutes? I really don't know:)

im not 100% sure- i know i can play em at 150bpm but i could probably get em up to 180 if i warm up
im just working on getting my left foot real strong in singles etc
but i will be working on them in the next few weeks to get em faster, tighter etc

My tops was 240BPM on double bass drums, but I couldn't hold it for very long. Nowadays, I've scaled back to one kick, and can hold it at 200BPM for as long as necessary.

I'm most comfortable between 150 and 170 bpm, but I can take it up higher to about 190 bpm, although it's not the highest I've taken it. I kind of gave up working on doubles, but made it part of my daily practice "routine" as of lately. This is all done on two kicks too; so I imagine, I'd be in a bit of trouble if i were playing on only a double pedal.

sorry to ask that stupid question........
i want to know when any one of u says for example that he can play doubles at 190bpm
is it sixteenth or eight......??
i mean the sum of strokes by the two legs in each click is 4 8 16 ??????

I'm not shure about all the other guys here but i play using 4 beats per click wich would be 16th notes.

one thing i never understood was that if you developed relaxed technique and can play doubles and singles etc fluently, how you cant play these notes consistantly at a certain tempo consistantly as long as you want, im not sure but concentrating on your technique should help the problems with how exhaused you get, i thought that playing was not supposed to be exhausting, but sort of relaxing lol!!!

You're all going to hate me for this...
in addition to playing fast doubles with your feet, can you play a GROOVE?

Well, I can groove, but I can't play fast doubles... does that count?

my doubles suck...then again i dont practice them much... ive hit 160-170 .... but these were loud and consistant doubles.... which is wat i wanna develop before speed...
