December 5th, 2003 - Some news before Christmas
break!
A couple of projects are being ironed out before Virgil's Christmas
break in Australia. This past week, Virgil has been laying down
a couple of tracks for Bunny
Brunel's upcoming solo album. So far it sounds really good!
Some very interesting playing has been layed down! Stay tuned for

In other news, Planet
X has announced that they will be appearing at NEARfest
in July 2004. All news and related information can be found on Planet

Freakhouse
has an East Coast Tour being planned in early 2004. Some dates have
been already posted in the tour dates.
The re-launch
is fairly close at this point. 90% DONE!! An
official discussion is set in place right here.
October 16th, 2003 - European clinics + More
Dates!
Looks like the Holland dates are confirmed. Check out the tour
dates for more . Looks like a lot of you will attend more than
one of the clinics in Europe. You can discuss this with other fans

Freakhouse
will also be playing at the House of Blues in West Hollywood this
coming monday the 20th of October. Their album "Beautiful Misery"
is now available worldwide! Check

CAB will also be playing a couple of dates on Nov. 21st and 22nd
at the Baked Potato. Check out the tour
dates for a complete listing.
Also, the Steve Vai DVD has surfaced

September 29th, 2003 - European
clinic dates announced!
The upcoming clinic dates in Europe are posted in the tour
dates section. A couple of dates may be changed or added, but
the dates listed so far are confirmed. There is also one Canadian
clinic date for the Vancouver Drum Fest on Oct. 24th, 2003. Click

September 9th, 2003 - Some upcoming clinic dates
and CAB/Freakhouse news...
Some tour dates have been
added amd there are a couple of album launches approaching...
First one is the Freakhouse
"Beautiful Misery" album, which will be it's own CD Release
Party at the Whisky in Hollywood, CA on September 23rd, 2003. Also,
the exclusive street team for Freakhouse is now online at fhstreetteam.com.
The other album launch is for the new CAB4 record. However, Virgil
does not play on this record. The CD launch will take place at the
Baked Potato along with a performance that Virgil will take part
in on October 2nd, 2003 at 9pm.
CAB will be
playing two shows this weekend at the Baked Potato. Click

And finally, a European/Canadian set of clinic dates are in the
works at the moment. This clinic tour will last roughly about 2
weeks. Once the dates are confirmed, you can be sure to find out

August 26th 2003 - Donati, Gambale, Fierrabracci
video...
There
were a lot of talks on the messageboard about the Gambale /Donati/Fierrabracci
Australian Tour last year. Frank
Gambale's website did mention the fact that a video or DVD of
these performances were going to be released some time in the future.
The mixing of these performances will finally begin next week with
Virgil and T.J. Helmerich. Stay tuned for more information on this
production.
In other news, Virgil just finished cutting 10 tracks out of 15
for the upcoming Ring
of Fire record. The title of the album is still undecided at
this point.
July 24th 2003 - CAB dates confirmed!
Here's a BIG thank you
to the people who came out at the last minute announcement of the
show at the Baked Potato last week. A
rather last minute posting on the messageboard seemed to have
attracted some people to come. Once again, thanks so much for your
support!
There are a couple of tour dates coming up for CAB.
These dates are for the missed dates back in March 2003 due to a
severe snow storm that left the band stuck in Denver for a couple
of days and further resulted into cancelling the Chicago, Dayton,
and Milwaukee gigs. Well, these 3 shows have now been confirmed
for early August. Check out the tour dates
for more. If some changes may occur, you can be sure to find

CAB website.
July 15th 2003 - More Freakhouse
news!
Well, it's official. The North American street date for Freakhouse
will be on Sept. 23rd, 2003. The first single will be "Love
Hates Me". You can listen to 2 new songs "Love Hates Me"
and "Beautiful Misery" on Freakhouse's media player off

Also, "Beautiful Misery" has been ranked #19 on the DAT
album chart in Germany! Here's a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has
been supportive! Freakhouse is hoping to tour Europe soon!

July 18th 2003. It will feature the Virgil Donati band (Virgil Donati,

May 26th 2003 - Clinic dates, etc...
A couple of new clinic dates: one

May 14th 2003 - New and (much) improved messageboard!
It was a long time coming, but the messageboard
seriously needed a new face. The ezboard messageboard was close
to non-existent and some of you guys were thinking that it was more-or-less
active. Well, it's a pleasure to announce that virgildonati.com

messageboard where all drummers and musicians can gather and
discuss about Virgil in general or in detail. Of course, Virgil

April 2nd 2003 - New dates...
Here's a small clarification for the people who couldnt get to
see CAB on the recent March
US tour: The band had to stay in Denver for a couple of days due
to a massive snow storm. This forced some of the dates such as Milwaukee,
Chicago and Ann Arbor to be cancelled. The other shows went on as
planned. We are so sorry for this incovenience.

March 7th 2003 - Last minute CAB lineup changes...

Unfortunately Patrice
Rushen won't be playing on keyboards for this leg of the CAB
tour. Instead, Steve Weingart will fill in for Patrice. The rehearsals
have been going very well already! This lineup is sure not to dissapoint!

It's that time of year again! Modern
Drummer is holding their annual Readers
Poll. Virgil had made the cover of the magazine back in April
1999 and was dubbed as a "Legend in the Making". Truly
an honor for any drummer! He has also been listed as a notable mention
in the top 25 drummers of all time. In the recent years, he has
surfaced 2nd in the "Best Progressive Drummer". It's time

January 16th 2003 - Freakhouse and CAB!
Wow, it's been a while since the last update. Happy (Belated) New
Year to everyone! 2002 was quite a year! Here goes for 2003:
Freakhouse's
upcoming record entitled "Beautiful Misery" will be out
sometime in the spring. As some of you may know, Freakhouse
got signed to Reality Entertainment/Sony in June 2002, and the album
was produced by Warren Croyle. This should be an interesting album
to listen to. Also, Freakhouse will be performing in L.A. at the
Roxy on Feb. 1st, check out the tourdates
or their website for more info. In CAB related news, Virgil
will be touring with CAB in North America (Canadian dates included)
sometime around the month of March. The lineup will be Bunny Brunel
on bass, Virgil Donati on drums, Tony
MacAlpine on guitar and Patrice Rushen on keyboards. This same
lineup regularly perform at the Baked Potato in Hollywood playing
most of the CAB tracks. This tour will feature performances from
some of the newer tracks. Tour dates have just been posted in the
tour dates section! In other news,
the DVD for The
Ultimate Drummers Weekend Concert Expo is available for order.
There was a pre-order link a couple of months back, but now it's
available for you to own. on DVD. Featuring: Virgil Donati, The
